Effective date: June 15, 2026
By accessing or using Tahana ("the Service", "Tahana", "we", "us", or "our") at tahana.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Tahana. We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version at tahana.app/terms. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Tahana is a household management platform ("Service") that provides tools for budgeting, calendar management, meal planning, health tracking, shopping list collaboration, event planning, document storage, and related household management functions. The Service is provided via a subscription accessed through a web browser and installable as a Progressive Web Application (PWA).
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Tahana. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's consent to use the Service.
Parents or guardians who create an account on behalf of a minor under 13 are responsible for all activity on that account and for ensuring the minor does not independently access the Service.
You are responsible for:
Each Tahana subscription may include up to five (5) household member accounts. The subscriber (account owner) is the billing contact and is ultimately responsible for all household accounts under their subscription.
You must notify us immediately at hello@tahana.app of any unauthorized access to your account.
Tahana is offered at $9.99 USD per month ("Subscription Fee"), billed on a recurring monthly basis. This fee provides access to all current Service features for up to five (5) household members.
Tahana does not offer a free trial period. Payment is required to access the Service. We offer a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee in lieu of a free trial (see Section 5.4).
Subscriptions automatically renew on a monthly basis at the then-current Subscription Fee unless cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund of your first monthly payment by emailing hello@tahana.app within thirty (30) calendar days of your first payment date.
After the 30-day window has passed, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
This includes, without limitation: cancellations after the deadline, unused time in the current billing period, dissatisfaction with changes to the Service, accidental renewals, or any other reason. It is your responsibility to track your subscription start date and cancel before the refund window closes if you wish to receive a refund.
The 30-day window begins on the date of your first payment — not the date you created your account, not the date you first logged in, not the date of any subsequent renewals.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings page. Upon cancellation, you retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund unless you are within the 30-day money-back window described in Section 5.4.
We reserve the right to change the Subscription Fee at any time. We will provide at least thirty (30) days' advance notice to active subscribers before any price increase takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your credit card information. All payment data is handled by Stripe.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these restrictions without notice and without refund.
You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service ("User Content"), including transactions, documents, photos, health data, notes, and recipes. By uploading User Content, you grant Tahana a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your household.
We do not claim ownership of your User Content. We do not sell, license, or transfer your User Content to third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of your User Content. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
Upon cancellation of your subscription, your account and all associated User Content will remain accessible for thirty (30) calendar days to allow you to export your data. After this retention period, all User Content and account data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted. We cannot recover deleted data.
We strongly recommend exporting your data before your access period ends.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our express written permission.
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided through the Service.
Tahana is a personal organization and budgeting tool. It is not a substitute for professional financial, medical, legal, or dietary advice. Do not make important decisions based solely on information generated by the Service.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TAHANA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TAHANA IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tahana and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Ontario, Canada. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief where appropriate.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to, violations of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct that harms other users or the Service.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends immediately. Sections relating to User Content, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and by posting a notice in the Service at least fourteen (14) days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
